Ghana, Africa

In Ghana, Pastor Eddie Enim is investing time and effort in developing the peoples’ ability to provide for themselves through, fishing, farming, sewing, automotive repair, and schools.

He is at the same time nurturing a passionate commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ among his native Ghanaians. You only have to attend one of their short (two-hour) worship services to realize that though these people may be poor by our standards, they greatly praise the Lord for the blessings that He has bestowed upon them.

Even in these modern days, one of the battles that Pastor Enim has to fight is the influence that Voodoo witchcraft holds over what is still a tribal culture.

In the end though, we all came home, humbled by our hosts’ industrious spirit and their passionate praise of how the Lord has blessed them.
It was all a little embarrassing considering how subdued we are in our praise in the face of our bounty. Our hosts taught a great deal about faith and praise to those who went there to teach them.
