A mission trip to Costa Rica offers a wide variety of opportunities for missionaries. There is evangelism, construction, Bible School and testimony. Most recently a new retail clothing sales industry has been introduced in cooperation with Unto the Least of His ministries and Pastor Bobby Gale. The opportunity for evangelism is no less in Costa Rica than it is at home; there are souls to be won and testimony to be made.
Construction is ongoing on the second floor of the church that FUMC worked on the last time that we were there. Likewise, the school is in need of some repairs. Bible School would be another opportunity to apply our talents and share our faith with our hosts and friends in Central America.
Since our visit there, we have supported the clothing ministry in Costa Rica.
One of the most wonderful parts of any mission trip is sharing time with the children. Children are the same the world over. It is such a joy to feed on their energy and excitement. They are the highlight of any mission trip.
This ministry is for those with the willingness to take the time away from home and share it with brothers and sisters from a different culture. All that is needed is the ability to humbly teach, share, build, and love others.
Overseas trips are less frequent, but usually last 7-10 days.
For more information, contact the Mission Team Leader and watch for news in the church bulletin.
