Early Response Team (ERT)

Early Response Teams (ERT) are Christian groups of approximately seven members that have been trained to perform disaster response duties as soon as the First Responders, (police, fire and other public safety personnel) declare an area safe.

Typically these duties include tarping roofs to prevent further water damage after floods or high winds.  There is usually a lot of chainsaw work to do after tornados or hurricanes.   A team will usually be made up of three chain saw operators, a bobcat operator and three people helping to haul material to pickup points.

In order to put a team of seven out on short notice, it is usually necessary to have approximately thirty members trained. If you are interested in taking the spirit of the Lord to disaster victims, please let us know.  We are training and equipping an Early Response Team. This is a ministry for those who demonstrate compassion and love to those who have experienced personal loss due to natural disasters.

You need to be blessed with no serious physical limitations, possess normal stamina and endurance,  be able and willing to climb ladders, lift and haul landscape debris, and tear out and remove household debris.

You will also need to keep your tetanus and Hepatitis A & B shots current.
