Community Outreach Service Center (COSC) or The Duke Avenue Shelter, is an emergency and transitional housing facility for men, women and children, operated by Pastor and Mrs. John Thomas.
It is the only homeless shelter that provides accommodations for men, women and children in Warner Robins. Because it is an emergency/transitional facility, clients may reside at the shelter for a period of up to 30 days. Waivers may be granted for up to 90 days.
Guests are charged $60 per week for the first 30 days and $75 per week beyond 30 days and are required to seek employment during the time they are guests.
The Center meets the short-term crisis needs of its clients by providing safe lodging, clean bedding, nutritious meals, showers and local telephone access.
The shelter also provides interim shelter for residents who have obtained employment but are still looking for affordable permanent housing.
COSC reserves the right to refuse service to individuals who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, who are wanted by the law, or who are generally disruptive or unruly.
This ministry is for individuals with open hearts willing to provide financial support, food, and other items, such as cleaning agents, washing powders, and other household items.
