Adoptive Families Support

Adoptive Families Support, working in conjunction with An Open Door Adoption Agency, helps to provide foster families that care for newborn infants from the time the baby is released from the hospital until he or she is placed in a permanent family setting. A short mission statement from their web site states that: “An Open Door Adoption Agency is an international and domestic not-for-profit adoption agency.”

“In addition to creating families through the blessing of adoption, An Open Door helps support international agencies operating on behalf of children worldwide.”

Steve and Patrice Strader, members of FUMC, have supported An Open Door Adoption Agency for years by providing a short-term Caring Home for numerous newborn babies. The time that children have remained in Steve and Patrice’s home has varied from ten days to three months. They have made an indelible difference in their babies’ lives. You can do the same.

We are looking for Christian families that possess love, compassion and a heartfelt desire to provide newborn babies a wonderful alternative to what might have been otherwise a bleak future.

This ministry depends upon two things, 1) your willingness and ability to accept infants and 2) the current need for Caring Homes.
