Senior Adults

The older adults (Keenagers) of First Methodist are an active group of people.

They are involved in all the many activities of our church such as, the Soup Kitchen, Food Pantry, Clothes Closet, choir, ushering and greeting, helping with TV ministry, Sunday School, and many other areas of service and leadership. They are active!

We are very proud of our Keenagers program. A program that caters to our 55+ group. Keenagers meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month for games, BINGO, special programs on various subjects, and a lunch. Yes, we always have an outstanding meal prepared by our church.

We are active! Several times a year we take interesting trips. Some are day trips going sightseeing, some educational -- such as the Antiquities Museum in LaGrange, we go after apples in North Georgia -- and some are overnight trips to senior adult conferences or other events. Some activities include just loading up the bus and going out to eat or enjoying a good show or play. We are privileged to have a small bus and large bus for taking us wherever we want to travel!
