A Small

with a Big Heart |
|
| Cheerful Cherubs first opened its doors to
children in September 1950. It was the first church sponsored
Kindergarten in Warner Robins. More than 2000 children have
graduated from Cheerful Cherubs Preschool. |
At Cheerful Cherubs Preschool we will nurture the
whole child in a fun and loving atmosphere; encouraging each child to develop
his or her potential through new experiences including physical, emotional,
social, cognitive, and spiritual.
Our teachers bring years of teaching experience
and education to the program. They are professional, loving adults who
create a nurturing and challenging environment for your child.

INSTRUCTIONAL PHILOSOPHY
Children grow and develop at different rates and through different learning
styles. At Cheerful Cherubs, children are given the opportunity to
explore, create and problem solve with materials that are developmentally
appropriate. Classroom activities are based on a play and task learning
atmosphere. Children are taught basic concepts through the used of games,
puzzles, manipulatives, art and other hands-on experiences. Our age
appropriate learning objectives address the whole child with the goal of
establishing a foundation and passion for learning. Continuous assessment
of each child's progress provides invaluable feedback to both the teacher and
the parent.
CURRICULUM - Zoo-Phonics
Zoo-Phonics teaches the alphabet using a cast of animal characters, sounds, and
body movements that directly relate to the animal/letter allowing children to
utilize the alphabet immediately.
CURRICULUM - TouchMath
TouchMath follows sequential learning strategies advocated by learning theorists
such as Jean Piaget and Jerome Bruner. Students interact with numbers on
paper by seeing, saying, hearing, and touching numbers.
CURRICULUM - HighReach
The HighReach Learning curriculum is based on the philosophy that children learn
best through hands-on activities that address the needs of the whole
child. HighReach reflects the belied that children need a balance of
child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities each day.
